"If we are not using a K12 computer (provided to families that
qualify), what computers or devices are compatible with K12 websites and
programs?" Unfortunately, many portable devices do not
support the software products required to run the Online School. These
devices may include (but not limited to): Chromebooks, iPads, iPhones,
iPods, Kindles, eReaders, and the newer Android phone.
"Are we required to track attendance? What happens if my student is sick and cannot make it to class?" The good news: you are not required to track attendance for your student! However, we do take class attendance just like any other brick-and-mortar school. If your student cannot attend the full 6 hours on a given school day, you should report their absence as soon as possible. You can call our office at 7636562800 or email our attendance line at [email protected]. Please note that we follow state and county laws and policies related to attendance.
"What materials are sent to my student? How can I track those shipments?" You have the ability to locate all of the required materials for each of your student's courses throughout the school year and track their shipments. During busy times of the year, K12 asks for your patience for materials to arrive. In most cases, materials also have supplemental online readings - please contact the course teacher if you have any concerns.
Contact K12 Customer/Tech Support (8665122273) for questions regarding: - Setting up Learning Coach and student accounts in the Online School (OLS) - Logging in to and using the OLS - Technical assistance accessing Class Connect sessions - Technical assistance with K12 computer requirements
