Class Connects
Students are required to attend their live class connect sessions. Each class will have at least one live session each week. Classes will meet at the same time each week during the quarter/semester. If a student has an excused absence (more information on this below), and misses a class connect session, they are responsible for contacting the teacher of the class(es) they missed prior to the absence. The student is then responsible for watching the recording of the missed session(s) within 24 hours to keep up with the content of the class.
A students' daily list of live classes will show under "My Schedule" tab in the student account, and under "Events". This is where students will learn live from their teachers.

School Email
Each student is automatically set up with their own school email account through Outlook.School email accounts allow students to send messages to their teachers and staff at ISMN. Students are not able to send emails to individuals outside of ISMN through this email. School email can be accessed several ways: 1. Through the student account 2. Through the website outlook.office.com 3. Through student's mobile device (smartphones or tablets)
Learning Coaches are copied on every email from teachers and staff, so they are aware of what is happening in your classes as well.
Technology is not always reliable, so having a plan if your computer or internet are not working is important. Figure out a backup plan for both your computer and internet to ensure you have access to classes every day. Having internet and a computer to login to classes is necessary and cannot be used as an excused absence. We suggest visiting your local library, coffee shop, family/friends house or computer, or another location which has wi-fi whenever you are experiencing internet issues.
Have you moved, changed numbers or email address?
ISMN works hard to ensure all information and supports are given in a timely matter. If you have moved, changed numbers, or have a new email address, please let us know as soon as possible so we have all up-to-date information. If anything changes in family dynamic/custody, please let us know so we are following correct protocol and exchanging educational information to the correct individuals.
